Every evidence file states exactly what it meets.

What Finium records, how integrity is protected, and what each level of the evidence ladder requires. Any pack can be checked against it with the open-source verifier.

The evidence ladder

Each file declares the highest level it meets.

No level is claimed without the requirements beneath it.

  1. 01Captured

Source URL and visible account or profile identifiers recorded.

  2. 02Preserved

Full-page screenshot, HTML and source metadata, captured from source where possible.

  3. 03Timestamped

Capture time in UTC, a qualified timestamp from a QTSP (RFC 3161) and the page's SSL/TLS certificate data.

  4. 04Tamper-evident

SHA-256 at capture for every artefact, a root-hash manifest and a complete custody event log.

  5. 05Assembled

Chronology, exhibits, custody log and structured export; legal risk classification where it has run.

The specification

Capture, integrity, structure, export.

01

Capture

  • Source URL and platform context recorded at capture
  • Visible account and profile identifiers preserved
  • Full-page screenshot and HTML where possible
  • Capture conditions recorded with the artefact
02

Integrity

  • SHA-256 computed at capture for every artefact
  • Qualified timestamp from a QTSP (RFC 3161) and SSL/TLS certificate data
  • Custody event log: who captured what, when, and what happened since
  • No in-place edits. Later processing is recorded as separate events
03

Structure

  • Chronology in matter time across platforms and accounts
  • Every statement labelled by basis: observed, reported or custody
  • Legal risk classification and jurisdiction notes, marked potential
  • Uncertainty stated explicitly, never smoothed over
04

Export

  • PDF report, exhibit set, custody log, machine-readable JSON
  • Root-hash manifest, checkable offline with evidence-verify
  • Role-based access to evidence workspaces
  • Exports versioned and recorded as custody events

Don't take our word for it.

Every export carries a hash manifest, a root hash and a timestamp token. The open-source evidence-verify tool recomputes them offline, without a Finium account. Available
